Dr. Kathy Pycinska

DDS

Dr. Kathy joined the Nelson Ridge team in 2015 and grew up in Munster, Indiana. She received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue University, after which she attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery with high distinction. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Pycinska elected to continue her dental education by completing a one-year, general practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Dr. Pycinska feels strongly about donating her time for the advancement of her profession as well as the benefit of her patients and community. While in dental school, Dr. Pycinska was recognized for her work in dental materials research with the Procter & Gamble Award for Excellence in Preventive Oral Health Care and the Academy of Dental Materials Award. She also spent a week in Port Margot, Haiti, where she provided dental care to hundreds of adults and children in need.

Dr. Pycinska is committed to providing patient-centered care in a comfortable and caring atmosphere. She believes that every patient should be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions about their oral health. Dr. Pycinska always takes the time to educate her patients about proper dental care to help them achieve long-lasting results.

When she is not working or volunteering, Dr. Pycinska enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, friends, traveling, reading, Pilates and cooking.
