Dr. Paul Etchison was born in the city of Joliet, Illinois. He spent his childhood growing up in Lockport and graduated from Lockport Township High School. Continuing his education, he graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a Bachelor of Science and a minor in chemistry. Dr. Etchison then attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry where he was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree along with a Bachelor of Science in dentistry.
He distinguished himself while in dental school with the Howard Kubacki Award for Clinical Excellence. Dr. Etchison was one of ten students chosen, based on clinical skills, to spend half of his senior year working at low-income clinics in the Chicago area instead of working in school. During this time, he completed residency in three pediatric clinics in Chicago.
Dr. Etchison is very passionate about his profession. He loves the science of dentistry and has traveled all over the nation to continue his education and learn from the best in the field. He is certified in Six Month Smiles® orthodontics as well as Invisalign® clear removable aligners. He is also certified to perform oral conscious sedation and administer Botox®.
Dr. Etchison has undergone advanced training in dental implants and received Fellowship in the International College of Oral Implantologists in 2013. He also received his Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2016. This award is only held by about 7,000 active dentists in the country. It is received by taking well over the minimum state requirements for continuing education and passing a written exam. Dr. Etchison also sits on the board of the Chicago Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Etchison is active in the community and participates in many mission trips to help those in need. His most recent trips include visits to Costa Rica and Guatemala. Dr. Etchison resides in Frankfort with his wife, Joanna, and their two daughters Briella and Alyssa. He enjoys playing golf, listening to music, and reading. He would also be happy to admit… he loves dentistry!
Dr. Kathy joined the Nelson Ridge team in 2015 and grew up in Munster, Indiana. She received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue University, after which she attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery with high distinction. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Pycinska elected to continue her dental education by completing a one-year, general practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Dr. Pycinska feels strongly about donating her time for the advancement of her profession as well as the benefit of her patients and community. While in dental school, Dr. Pycinska was recognized for her work in dental materials research with the Procter & Gamble Award for Excellence in Preventive Oral Health Care and the Academy of Dental Materials Award. She also spent a week in Port Margot, Haiti, where she provided dental care to hundreds of adults and children in need. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Pycinska is committed to providing patient-centered care in a comfortable and caring atmosphere. She believes that every patient should be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions about their oral health. Dr. Pycinska always takes the time to educate her patients about proper dental care to help them achieve long-lasting results.
When she is not working or volunteering, Dr. Pycinska enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, Pilates and cooking. She married her husband, Jack, in 2016. Dr. Pycinska is also an active member of the community and participates in mission trips to help those in need.
Dr. Eberhardt grew up in Tinley Park and graduated from Andrew High School before completing her Undergraduate studies at University of Illinois, where she was a Division 1 diver and loved being able to travel to the majority of the Big Ten schools and represent U of I. After Dr. Eberhardt received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, she went on to complete a 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Florida in Seminole.
Dr. Eberhardt loves working with her Nelson Ridge Family Dental team each day and helping patients achieve their dental goals. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family at their lake house, waterskiing, baking, reading, trying new restaurants, and cheering for the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox. She admits she likes to watch The Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, and This is Us. Dr. Eberhardt recently became an aunt, too!
Dr. Amir Danesh earned his DDS in 2008 and received his postdoctoral specialty training in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University. Dr. Danesh’s goal is to put his patients’ interests first and minimize inconvenience and stress by making processes noninvasive and more efficient. He is a big believer in evidence-based dentistry and uses current techniques and industry breakthroughs to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.
Dr. Danesh is a board-certified periodontist and Diplomate of American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Danesh was selected as a first prize winner in a Clinical Showcase Scholarship from New York University. He was also the recipient of an Award for Academic Excellence for his scholarly activities. He believes that clinical research plays a vital role in the enhancement of patient care. He has contributed to the publication of 2 books and published more than 20 papers in prestigious journals, including Journal of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Implant Dentistry, Clinical Implant Dentistry and related research, Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, Journal of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Journal of Periodontal Research.
He is a reviewer as well as an editorial member of many professional scientific journals and has several oral and poster presentations at national and international meetings such as American Academy of Periodontology. His specialty clinical training and academic research focus on various advanced and complicated implant and oral surgeries, including bone regeneration and grafting, sinus lift procedure, ridge augmentation, atraumatic surgical extractions and site preservation, soft tissue augmentation, and treatment of gum and peri-implant diseases. He has been trained in Nitrous Oxide and Intravenous Sedation to help patients feel comfortable and calm when undergoing dental procedures.
Dr. Danesh is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, a member of both the American and International Association for Dental Research, The International Association for Orthodontics, and American Orthodontics Society. Dr. Danesh is passionate about the specialty of periodontology and implant dentistry and makes a serious commitment to continuing education by attending the professional meetings to stay updated in the field. He is bilingual in both English and Farsi.
