Dr. Paul Etchison

DDS, FICOI, FAGD

Dr. Paul Etchison was born in the city of Joliet, Illinois. He spent his childhood growing up in Lockport and graduated from Lockport Township High School. Continuing his education, he graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a Bachelor of Science and a minor in chemistry. Dr. Etchison then attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry where he was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree along with a Bachelor of Science in dentistry.

He distinguished himself while in dental school with the Howard Kubacki Award for Clinical Excellence. Dr. Etchison was one of ten students chosen, based on clinical skills, to spend half of his senior year working at low-income clinics in the Chicago area instead of working in school. During this time, he completed residency in three pediatric clinics in Chicago.

Meet Dr. Etchison

Dr. Etchison is very passionate about his profession. He loves the science of dentistry and has traveled all over the nation to continue his education and learn from the best in the field. He is certified in Six Month Smiles® orthodontics as well as Invisalign® clear removable aligners. He is also certified to perform oral conscious sedation and administer Botox®.

Dr. Etchison has undergone advanced training in dental implants and received Fellowship in the International College of Oral Implantologists in 2013. He also received his Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2016. This award is only held by about 7,000 active dentists in the country. It is received by taking well over the minimum state requirements for continuing education and passing a written exam. Dr. Etchison also sits on the board of the Chicago Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Etchison is active in the community and participates in many mission trips to help those in need. His most recent trips include visits to Costa Rica and Guatemala. Dr. Etchison resides in Frankfort with his wife, Joanna, and their two daughters Briella and Alyssa. He enjoys playing golf, listening to music, and reading. He would also be happy to admit… he loves dentistry!
